The Nigeria Youths for Nigerians (NYN), Sokoto State Chapter, has formally endorsed Abdulhameed Musa Abdullahi for the position of North-West Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the party’s forthcoming convention.
The endorsement, announced in a press release dated March 16, 2026, followed what the group described as extensive consultations and engagements with youth stakeholders across the North-West region.
According to the statement, members of the network unanimously expressed confidence in Abdullahi’s vision for youth inclusion, grassroots mobilization, and strengthening the role of young people within the party’s leadership structure.
The group noted that Abdullahi has demonstrated commitment to youth development, political participation, and national unity through consistent engagement with grassroots communities and youth organizations across the region.
It added that his track record in youth advocacy, combined with a wide network among students, community leaders and young professionals, positions him as a suitable candidate to represent the aspirations of young people in the North-West.
“We believe that Abdulhameed Musa Abdullahi possesses the capacity, vision and energy required to mobilize young people, strengthen party structures at the grassroots, and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the APC,” the statement read.
The group also called on delegates, party stakeholders and youth leaders across the North-West geopolitical zone to rally behind Abdullahi’s aspiration in the interest of strengthening youth participation and progressive leadership within the party.
The Sokoto chapter of NYN reaffirmed its commitment to promoting credible and visionary youth leadership to advance the ideals of democracy, inclusiveness and national development.
