Ogoruba Wins PDP Ticket for Isoko North in Peaceful LG Election, Ukodhiko Commends Excos

The Member Representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko commended members of People Democratic Party (PDP) in the Isoko North local government of Delta State for the peaceful conduct of primary election in the area.

Ukodhiko who expressed satisfaction with conduct of the primary election, said that is the beauty of democracy, where people make their choice and he is pleased with it.

“I am optimistic, PDP will clinch the Isoko North LGA election”, stressing that “Delta is PDP and PDP is Delta”, he said.

He then congratulated the former PDP chairman in the local government who emerged winner and PDP candidate in the forthcoming local government election.

Deacon Prince Godwin Ogoruba, the immediate past Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Isoko North Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State has been declared the winner of the just concluded LGA Chairmanship primary election for the Isoko North LGA of Delta.

The election was held on Saturday, 25th May, 2024 behind Ogbenge park, Ozoro, the Isoko North Headquarter.

Announcing the result after the election, the returning officer Mr Uche Alibo from Delta State PDP Sectariat said the Deacon emerged winner through concensus.

The returning Officer affirms that, “Having satisfied with requirements of law and scored the highest votes I Uche Alibo as returning officer decleared Deacon Ogoruba winner of the election and PDP candidate of Isoko North local government election”, he said.

Speaking to Journalists, the PDP Isoko North candidate for the July, 2024 Local Government polls, Ogoruba thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP for giving him the mandate to contest in the forthcoming election.

He expressed appreciation to the party supporters for their support and understanding during the exercise and urged the people of the local government to vote for him during the general election for better development.

He assured them of uniting the party members, reconcilation of all those whose who left for one reason or the other, and to operate an open door policy as Council Chairman.

Other participants include Chieif Kome Okpobor a PDP cheiftain and Executive Director, Finance and Administration, DESOPADEC who said “everything went peacefully and we thank God we have achieved why we are here as l feel glad and good for voting the right choice” he said.
