Plateau Deputy Gov receives relief materials for displaced persons donated by Fidelity Bank

Plateau state government has received relief materials from Fidelity Bank for victims of attacks in Mangu and other Local Government Areas in the state.
The Regional Bank Head, North Central, Sadi Zawiya, who presented the relief materials to the state goverment, on behalf of the Bank on Monday, said the gesture is aimed at alleviating the suffering of the displaced persons in the state
Zawiya added that gesture was part of their corporate social responsibility having recognised that their success is intimately tied to the wellbeing of their host communities.
He prayed for peace to return to the affected areas, adding that the bank had supported in the past and would continue to support people who are in dire need in the state.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, the Deputy Governor Josephine Piyo, thanked the bank for the donation.
She decried the rising insecurity leading to the lost of lives and property, in a statement signed by her Chief Press Secretary Martha Nyam.
Piyo described the bank as a humanitarian bank due to the numerous support and contributions it has made in the past.
She promised to ensure that the items gets to the affected victims.
She assured that the current administration is working towards ending the circle of killings across local communities in the state.
According to the statement, Items donated includes 100 mattresses, 100 blankets, 100 mats
120 Buckets, 300 cups,
150 Bags 25kg rice, 155 Bags maize flour
20 CD Bags of 25kg garri
50 cartons of oil
20 cartons of powdered milk, 5 Bags of slippers
25 Bags of salt
20 cartons of maggi
20 Bags of sugar, 5 cartons of lipton, 60 cartons washing soap, 40 cartons of detergent among others.
