Plateau Governor Mutfwang visit Chinese embassy, seeks infrastructural intervention

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has on Thursday held a productive meeting with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Abuja.

Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere in a statement said the discussion focused on improving road infrastructure, health, education, and the agricultural sectors in the state.

Governor Mutfwang, who was received by the Minister Counsellor, Zhang Yi, highlighted the presence of Chinese construction companies in Plateau State and emphasized that the government has created a conducive environment for their business operations.

The Governor stated that his visit to the Embassy was aimed at familiarizing himself and exploring potential partnerships and financial support for road infrastructure projects, as well as the training of Plateau youths in ICT.

Governor Mutfwang noted that he has engaged with several Chinese construction companies in the state and will continue to do so to foster economic growth in Plateau State.

Minister Counsellor Zhang Yi welcomed Governor Mutfwang and assured him of the unwavering support of the Chinese government. He emphasized the strong, cordial relationship between China and Nigeria and reiterated China’s commitment to strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of both nations.
