From Tongnaan Bawa, Jos

With less than 48 hours to the Local Government elections in Plateau State, Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and leader of the party in the state Simon Bako Lalong has re-echoed the optimism of the APC in emerging victorious.

Senator Lalong who arrived his Southern Zone Senatorial District base on Monday 7th October began his engagement with the electorate in Qua’an-Pan Local Government where he presented flags to the Councillorship Candidates of the APC.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser Media Dr. Makut Macham, Lalong told the people to vote the APC which has proven time and again that it is a party that cares for the people and delivers the dividends of democracy unlike the PDP which has nothing to show after almost two years in office.

Member Representing QuanPan, Shendam, Mikang Federal Constituency Hon. John Dafaan also assured the people that APC is fully on ground not only to win elections, but deliver good governance and physical projects.

Earlier, Senator Lalong commissioned a block of classrooms in Pan community facilitated by Hon. John Dafaan which he said was another evidence that the APC delivers on its campaign promises.

On arrival in his home base of Shendam, Lalong was received by a large number of jubilant supporters who cheered the team which embarked on a street rally round Shendam Town.

The rally terminated at the party office in Shendam where he addressed party faithful and thanked them for the strong support they have always shown the APC.

Lalong said the large gathering of supporters shows the acceptance of the party not only in the southern zone but the entire state.

He told them that the new Local Government system under autonomy will ensure that funds meant for the local Government are sent directly to the people unlike in the past.

According to him, the APC can be trusted to manage the resources transparently unlike the PDP which has not been able to show what it has used the Billions of naira collected in almost 2 years.

The Senator assured the party supporters to ensure that they come out to vote and ensure that their votes are counted and properly declared to avoid any manipulation.

Chairmanship candidate for Shendam Local Government Hon. Basil Piupun told the Senator that the people have promised overwhelming support to deliver the APC in Wednesday’s election.
