Police commence capacity building training on personnel in Adamawa

In an effort to improve effectiveness and efficiency of police personnel in the discharge of their duties,the Adamawa state police command has commenced capacity building training workshop for its officers in the state.
Spokesman of the Command,SP Suleiman Nguroje disclosed the development in a press statement issued in Yola Tuesday stressing that,
the Command remains committed to the continuous development of its personnel and the delivery of effective policing services in line with global best practices.
“In line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, towards building a renewed, professional, and reoriented police workforce, the Adamawa State Police Command has commenced an In-House Refresher Training for its personnel.
“The training program, which began today, 22nd April 2025, is designed to enhance the capacity, discipline, and service delivery of officers in the Command.
“The program will continue on subsequent dates with carefully structured sessions tailored to address various aspects of modern policing including, values and ethics of police, Civility to the members of the public and Ability to remain calm in the face of provocation in line with the IGP’s vision of repositioning the Nigeria Police Force for better service delivery”. The statement explained.
Accordingly the statement added that the Commissioner of police in charge of the command, CP Dankwabo Morris formally declared open the training urging the participants to disseminate the take aways to the larger members of the force for full implementation with a view to achieve the aims of the training.
