President Tinubu, Gov Namadi Congratulates Dutse Varsity Graduands

The President, Federal republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi, congratulated the newly graduands of Federal University Dutse for the successful completion of their programs.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was represented by the Vice Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) Professor Kabiru Bala, congratulated the graduands and management of the University during the 6th and 7th combined convocation ceremony held on Saturday at the University convocation square.

He said, the new graduands have a vital role to play in supporting federal government’s efforts towards addressing issues of unemployment, poverty, banditry and insecurities at large.

“I urged you to use the talent and skills acquired during your studying in the University as a student to support government’s of reducing poverty, unemployment through entrepreneur as well as reducing banditry and insecurities”, he said.

President Tinubu who assured more commitment towards improvement of educational sector, also congratulated His majesty King W.S. Joshua, Igbugburu x, (CON) JP, the Ebenanawei of Bomo Kingdom and the pioneer chairman of Bayelsa state traditional council as 2nd Chancellor of the University.

Also speaking, the Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi, congratulated the Senate, parents and the graduands for achieving this milestone.

Governor Namadi charged the newly graduands to use the knowledge acquired from the University and create jobs for themselves and remain independent as white color jobs are no longer available.

While delivering his speech, the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutse Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammad said, a total number of 2,872 graduated at the combined convocation from various field of studies.

He explained that, out of the total number, 74 students got first-class, 836 second class upper, 1510 second class lower and 452 students graduated with third class.

Professor Abdulkarim Sabo maintained that, the graduands emerged from faculties of Agriculture, Art and Social sciences, Computer Science, and the faculty of sciences. Other are two Ph.D, 47 M.Sc, 376 Masters and 189 post graduate diploma graduands.

He identified some of his achievement in the University as completion of N1.2 billion internet broadband by the ministry of communication and digital economy, among many other achievement in the sector.
