Prime Time News CEO, Ibrahim Garba, Bags Leadership Award from Kano NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel

The CEO/Publisher of Prime Time News, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, has been honoured with an award for his distinguished leadership during his tenure as Chairman of the Kano Correspondents’ Chapel.
Garba who also equals as the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, received a separate recognition for his promotion and continued support for journalism in the state.
The honour was bestowed on him during the Kano Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) 2025 Get-Together and Award Night, an evening dedicated to fellowship, reflection, and the celebration of excellence in journalism.
The colourful event, held at the Tahir Guest Palace in Kano, attracted journalists from various media organisations, media stakeholders, and friends of the chapel. The gathering provided an opportunity to review the chapel’s achievements over the years, strengthen professional bonds, and reaffirm commitment to ethical and responsible journalism.
Highlights of the night included the presentation of awards to individuals and organisations recognised for their contributions to the growth and development of the media profession in Kano State.
Speakers at the event commended the Kano Correspondents’ Chapel for promoting unity, professionalism, and excellence among journalists, while urging members to uphold the core values of the profession in the face of emerging challenges.
The 2025 Get-Together and Award Night ended on a note of renewed solidarity, as members pledged to continue working together to strengthen journalism and information dissemination in Kano State.
