Throughout his journalism career, Professor Gwarzo distinguished himself through his courage, professionalism, and advocacy for press freedom. His dedication to protecting journalists and ensuring the integrity of the media led him to the esteemed position of President of the African Journalists’ Protection body. In this role, he worked tirelessly to safeguard the rights of journalists, promote ethical reporting, and strengthen the media’s role in enhancing democracy across the continent.
