The State APC chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, threw the challenge to the NNPP Government when he flagged off the distribution of palliatives to APC leaders and supporters at Dawakin Kudu on Saturday.

Abbas, who described the programme as a sham, asked the State Government to show evidence that what they are providing is commensurate with what they spent on the programme.

“We know that the Federal Government,Bua and Dangote groups have provided palliatives, So, let them show evidence that they have spent the said amount on the feeding programme.

“The grains we are distributing to our supporters were purchased through contribution from ourselves as we don’t have a government,” he said

According to him, those who contributed include the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, two ministers from the State, APC National chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the State APC chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas.

Others are: APC Gubernatorial candidate in the state Dr. Nasiru Gawuna and his Deputy, Murtala Sule-Garo, Chief of Staff to APC National Chairman, Malam Muhammad Garba, and Engr Abubakar Kabir Bichi

The APC chairman said the palliatives to be distributed included 10 bags of 50kg per each of the 484 wards and bags of millet.

In his remarks, the Chief of State to APC National chairman, Malam Muhammad Garba, said the gesture was aimed at alleviating the current economic hardships being experienced in the country, especially during the ongoing Ramadan Fast.

“We felt it is necessary to support our party supporters and leaders across the 484 wards especially during this Ramadan period since we’re in a privileged position,” he said.

Garba, who represented his Boss at the occasion, said they purchased 5, 840 50kgs bags of rice, 1600 bags of millets, 2000 cartoons of Spaghetti to give out to APC supporters and other people of the state.

Garba, explained that the National Chairman of the APC, Dr Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, coordinated the idea of the palliatives, and that Ganduje alongside the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and others heavily contributed to purchase the food items.
