Ramadan: Kano Assembly speaker distributes food items to staff, organisations

The Kano State House of Assembly Speaker Rt, Hon Jibrin Ismail Falgore, has distributed food items worth millions of Naira to staff of the house of assembly as well as citizens of the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Chief Press Secretary to Rt,Hon Speaker, House of Assembly Kano State on Wednesday.

The foodstuffs which include bags of rice (50kg) and cartons of Macaroni were distributed to beneficiaries which include all former speakers, deputies speakers, former clerks, deputy clerks, all staff of the assembly, press, security personnel attached to the assembly, party leaders and other organisations in the state.

Presenting the items, Falgore restated his commitment towards easing the hardship being faced by the people during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Falgore said that more goodies were underway to staffers, especially in the area of improving the welfare packages to staff working in the state assembly.

Falgore further disclosed that under his watch at tenth legislative arm, quality legislations aimed at improving the social wellbeing of the people would remain his top priority.

Falgore then appealed to them to use the month of Ramadan to pray for the state assembly, Kano State, and Nigeria for Allah’s blessings in this critical time.

Meanwhile, the clerk/ permanent secretary of the house of assembly Alh Bashir Idris Diso commended the speaker for this Ramadan gesture, describing it as a clear demonstration of his generosity and kindness which he said came at the right time.

On the other hand, the beneficiaries described the speaker’s Ramadan gesture as one of its kind and will definitely go along way in easing their harsh conditions.
