Ramadan:Sen.Kawu Sumaila Distributes 15,000 Bags of Rice, 100 Tricycles, 100 Motorcycles To Constituents

The Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Suleiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, has distributed over 15,000 bags of rice, 100 tricycles and 100 motorcycles to constituents across the district as part of his Ramadan support and economic empowerment initiative.
A statement issued by Abbas Adam Abbas,his Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity, said the gesture reflected the lawmaker’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents.
Abbas said the vehicles donated included 100 tricycles (Adaidaita Sahu) and 100 motorcycles aimed at boosting small-scale transportation businesses and enhancing economic self-reliance among the beneficiaries.
He said each Local Government Area in the senatorial zone received 500 bags of rice, and that additional allocations were made to various community groups, associations, and key stakeholders “to ensure inclusivity and broad-based impact.”
Speaking during the event, Senator Sumaila emphasized that the initiative aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he said prioritized social investment, economic revitalization and improved living standards for Nigerians.
“This intervention forms part of our broader commitment to enhancing the well-being of our people, particularly during this sacred month of Ramadan. It is also in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which focuses on sustainable empowerment and people-centered governance,” he said.
The event was graced by dignitaries including the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin,the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Isma’il Falgore, who represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf; member of the House of Representatives representing Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency,Kabiru Alhassan Rurum; alongside other prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Community leaders and beneficiaries commended Senator Kawu Sumaila for what they described as one of the largest constituency-based Ramadan and empowerment interventions in the region, noting that the initiative will significantly cushion economic pressures and stimulate local enterprise.
“This latest intervention further consolidates Senator Kawu Sumaila’s reputation as a grassroots-focused legislator dedicated to sustainable development, inclusive growth, and impactful representation,” the statement added.
