The National Association of Kano State Students(NAKSS) has appealed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Philantropists and political appointees to assist students of Bayero University Kano(BUK) to enable them pay the newly-increased school fees.
The President of the association, Comrade Yahaya Usman Kabo, made the call in a statement issued to PRIME TIME NEWS on Wednesday.
According to Kabo, many students may crash out of the university due to their inability to pay the hiked registration fees.
He also urged the management of the university to re-consider the increment in its tuition fees.
PRIME TIME NEWS reports that BUK had on June 19 approved an increase in its central registration fees, administrative and hostel maintenance charges for both undergraduate and post graduate students.
