RES Chief Executive to Chair Conversation on AfCFTA in Kenya

The Executive Director of Research Enterprise Systems (RES), Professor Fatai Ayinde Aremu is set to Chair conversation on African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) implementation at the 18th Africa Young Graduates and Scholars Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event being organized by the Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA) in Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), South Africa and other global institutions is scheduled to hold 6th -7th March 2024.

Professor Aremu, a globally recognized policy researcher was appointed as International Visiting Research Fellow of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) in 2023 based on his contributions to the global body of knowledge which includes issues on public policy, governance institutions and public goods.

AISA in HSRC is a statutory Social Science Council in South Africa dedicated to knowledge production, education, training, and the promotion of awareness of Africa, for Africans and the international community.

A leading hub for transformative interdisciplinary and collaborative research and interventions that inform policy development, decision-making, and implementation in Governance, Peace and Security, Sustainable Development, and Science Technology, and Innovation

At the event, Professor Aremu will Chair the session: “Towards Accelerating African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA” that has composition of diplomats and other top government functionaries in Africa among which are: His Exellency, Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu, High Commissioner of Republic of South Africa in Kenya; Honourable Rebecca Miano, Cabinet Secretary for investments, Trade & Industry, Kenya and H.E. Kenneth Morolong, Deputy Minister in the Presidency, South Africa.
