Revenue Generation: Prime Initiative Trains JEET Members

As part of an effort to improve the process of revenue generation in Jigawa state, a non-governmental organization, known as Prime Initiative organised a one-day training for the Jigawa Enlightenment and Engagement Team (JEET).
Speaking at the training session, the Executive Director of Prime Initiative Comrade Muhammed Abdu Dutse said, the training aimed at bolstering tax administration and fostering community engagement in the State.
He explained that the workshop is organized by the Prime Initiative for Community Development and Fiscal Transparency in collaboration with Jigawa Tax Justice and generously sponsored by Christian Aid.
According to him, the move marked a significant milestone in advancing Jigawa’s tax administration system as it focused on equipping participants with essential tools and strategies.
He added that the training underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and active participation in achieving more tax generation in the state.
While making his remarks, the chairman of Jigawa Internal Revenue Services (JIRS), Malam Nasir Idris commended the Prime initiative for this effort.
He expressed his appreciation to all participants for their unwavering commitment to enhancing institutional competence and taxpayer engagement within the state.
