The first Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has again stormed Zamfara state with the unity and progressive agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu tagged Renewed Hope Initiative and has distributed welfare packages to 600 vulnerable people, mainly women, to register the federal government’s interest in the activities state.
The event took place in trade fair centre located at Lalan Area of Gusau the state capital on Thursday, where women and other vulnerable were carefully selected across the 14 LGAs of the state to benefit from the goodwill of the Nigerian President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Represented by the Wife of Vice President Hajiya Nana Kashim Shatima the first Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu said the initiative was aimed at improving social investment project through public awareness under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) of President Tinubu..
The statewide distribution programme would continue in the rest of the 36 states of the federation, she said.
In her words, the Wife of Zamfara State Governor Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal reaffirms the Zamfara state government’s commitment in supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of PBAT and upholding the welfare of women, as and other vulnerable groups.
Hajiya Huriyya Lawal said, the initiative brings relief and hope to families nationwide. Adding that the initiative focuses on uplifting communities and restoring hope through social investment programmes.
She commended the nineteen Northern Governors’ wives for showing solidarity at the event, highlighting regional cooperation.
The event was attended by the Executive Governor of Zamfara state Dr. Dauda Lawal, the Deputy Governor and other state Executive council members, the 19 Northern governors’ wives, and other diginitiries within and outside Zamfara state.
They all praised the state first Lady of Zamfara state Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal for bringing All Progressive Congress APC and other parties’ women in unity gathering in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of PBAT.
