Rogo promoted to DG protocol, Asmau appointed DG research in Kano govt house
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has announced the promotion of Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo from Chief of Protocol to Director General, Protocol.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Rogo, a former chairman of Rogo Local Government and former member of the Kano State House of Assembly, was initially appointed Chief of Protocol during the Governor’s transition period and subsequently retained after his inauguration on May 29th, 2023.
In a separate announcement, Governor Yusuf also appointed Hajiya Nana Asmau Jibrin as Director General, Research and Documentation for the Kano Government House.
Asmau served as the Deputy Director of social media for Governor Abba’s campaign organization since 2022.
A graduate of Political Science with a master’s degree in the same field, Asmau brings 20 years of experience in media, advertising, entrepreneurship, and project management to the role.
She is also the founder of Womanhood Africa Initiative, an NGO supporting women and girls in the African region.
Governor Yusuf congratulated the new appointees and urged them to remain dedicated and committed to their responsibilities.
