Kano State Deputy Governor, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing subsidized fertilizers to farmers as the farming season begins.

He made this known on Monday while receiving the Emir of Rano, Dr. Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, who paid a Sallah homage to the Government House.

Gwarzo urged the people of Rano Emirate to take full advantage of the farming season to boost food production for both consumption and economic growth. He also called for prayers for beneficial rainfall to ensure a successful farming season.

Addressing security concerns, the Deputy Governor advised the Emir and his council to ensure proper documentation of immigrants, including those acquiring land and property in the area.

In his remarks, the Emir of Rano, Muhammadu Isa Umaru commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration for its developmental efforts across the state and pledged the Emirate’s continued support for government initiatives.

The Emir also appealed for government intervention in resolving electricity challenges in Rano and urged the inclusion of drainage systems in the ongoing 5km road projects to prevent flooding.

In response, the Deputy Governor assured that all requests presented by the Rano Emirate would be given due attention by the state government.
