Senator Lalong masters Plateau consensus at Senate as Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda is confirmed as minister of Humanitarian Affairs

It was a smooth sail for Plateau State Ministerial nominee for Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe during screening at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Abuja.
Senator Lalong who was first to speak from the three Senators representing Plateau State said they had reached a consensus to give overwhelming endorsement for the confirmation of Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda.
He said Dr. Nentawe is eminently qualified to hold the office beacuse of his track record of achievements as a teacher, researcher, public servant and social worker who has done a lot with dedication and honesty.
Lalong in a statement signed by his Special Adviser Media, Dr. Makut Macham, thanked President Bola Tinubu for nomination of the former Plateau APC Gubernatorial Candidate whom he said has so much to offer the nation with his large acceptance particularly at the grassroots.
Senator Diket Plang representing Plateau Central and Senator Dachunggyang Pam representing Plateau North all concured with Senator Lalong, giving Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda full endorsement.
Earlier, Senate Minority Leader Sen. Abba Moro said the nomination of Dr. Nentawe is well deserved as he has the experience and capacity to deliver.
Other Senators also congratulated him and asked question before the Senate President Godswill Akpabio asked him to take a bow and go.
The celebrations shifted to the residence of Senator Lalong where supporters, friends and well wishers came to wish him well and also thanked Senator Lalong for his role in making the appointment and screening possible.
Dr. Nentawe thanked Senator Lalong and the APC family in Plateau State, assuring that he will not disappoint them on this job. He asked for prayers to be able to carry out the huge assignment of achieving President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Senator Lalong once again expressed delight and appreciation to Mr. President for trusting Dr. Nentawe and the people of Plateau State with such a sensitive Ministry.
APC Deputy National Secretary Barr. Festus Fuanter also thanked Senator Lalong for his leadership to the APC in Plateau State which has continued to inspire many supporters and bring good fortunes for the State. He assured of more support and collaboration for the progress of the party and the State at large.
