From Abdullahi Alhassan, Kaduna
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has lauded Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as a compassionate and caring leader devoted to serving humanity.
Speaking during the distribution of food items and palliatives for Christmas and New Year at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Conference Centre in Kaduna, Governor Sani described the First Lady as a “mother of the nation” whose efforts have consistently uplifted the poor and vulnerable.
“Her life is dedicated to the service of humanity,” he noted, recalling her impactful social intervention programs as First Lady of Lagos State and her legislative contributions in the 9th Senate.
“Her Renewed Hope Schemes for the Elderly and Women exemplify her relentless commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians,” he added.
The Governor also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a listening leader committed to alleviating the hardships of Nigerians.
“Our President is initiating social intervention programs to support the poor, and the future looks bright under his leadership,” he stated.
Highlighting his administration’s pro-poor policies, Governor Sani cited initiatives like the Financial Inclusion Programme, which has opened over 2 million bank accounts for vulnerable groups to access state and federal social programs.
He also referenced ongoing palliative distributions, grants, and agricultural support to aid the needy and small businesses.
Governor Sani urged Kaduna residents to use the festive season to foster peace, emphasizing that the Kaduna Peace Model has become a benchmark for conflict resolution in Nigeria.
“Our state is regaining its stature, and other conflict-impacted states are adopting our model,” he concluded.
