In a bid to demonstrate strategic focus on ensuring adequate security across Nigeria, the recently appointed Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shuaibu, alongside the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oleyede, and other service chiefs, paid a visit to the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, on November 10, 2025.

The high-level visit reflects the efforts of the nation’s top security leadership in eliminating terrorist activities and addressing other security challenges across the country.

“The meeting stressed the Armed Forces’ cohesive leadership and shared resolve to strengthen national security.”

It also provided a platform to brief the Minister on ongoing military operations nationwide, while exploring fresh measures to enhance inter-service synergy, intelligence integration, and operational efficiency in tackling evolving security threats.
