Serving,Ex-Kano Assembly Members Laud Gov Yusuf, Lawmakers’ Defection,Say Entry Blessing To APC

The Forum of Former and Serving Members of the Kano State House of Assembly has applauded the defection of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf alongside 22 members of the State House of Assembly to the APC,describing their action as a blessing to the party.
The Forum also stated that the decision of the Governor and the 22 legislators to join the APC is the best political development that happened to the state in recent times.
The group made the remarks in a statement signed by its Chairman,Yusuf Babangida Sulaiman Dawo-Dawo, and issued to journalists in Kano on Tuesday.
“With the entry of the Governor and the 22 state assembly members into the APC, we would now be having immense access to dividends of democracy from the Federal Government,”Dawo-Dawo said.
He described Governor Yusuf as a God-fearing leader whose transformational strides would blend very well with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
The Chairman then disclosed that stakeholders of the APC in the state led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,former National Chairman of the party, the state Chairman of the party, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo and the House Chairman Appropriation Committee, Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, among others,have urged members of the party to regard Governor Yusuf and the state assembly members as their long-time family members.
“Therefore, all APC supporters and members in the state should accord all necessary support to the Government of Kano State under Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf and the State Assembly to enable them succeed in their efforts to actualize the “Kano First Agenda.”
Dawo-Dawo assured of the Forum’s full support and loyalty to the Government of Abba Kabir Yusuf in its commitment to making Kano great.
