Shanono LG Dissolves Leadership of Revenue Collection Committee

The Executive Chairman of Shanono Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Barau, has officially dissolved the leadership of the Local Revenue Collection Committee, which was responsible for overseeing revenue collection across various locations within the local government.

Hon. Barau stated that the dissolution is part of a broader initiative to restructure and improve the revenue generation process.

This reform is aimed at enhancing the local government’s financial resources to better support key development projects and ensure effective service delivery to the people.

In a statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Executive Chairman, Comrade Ammar Wakili Shanono, it was announced that “from this point forward, no member of the dissolved committee will be involved in any revenue collection activities.”

The statement further clarified that “government officials with designated responsibilities for tax collection are now authorized to handle all revenue collection activities at the approved revenue points.”

“This action is effective immediately” the statement ordered.
