Stakeholders Hail Yobe Gov’t, UNICEF for Distribution of Teaching Materials

Critical stakeholders in the education sector have expressed their gratitude for the commendable initiative by the Yobe State Government in collaboration with UNICEF.This collaboration has resulted in the timely provision of quality and relevant teaching and learning materials for primary-level students.
A delegation led by Mallam Mutaka Tanko, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo, Mallam Auwalu Muhammad, and others visited the office of the Acting Education Secretary of the Nguru Local Education Authority, Mallam Hamisu Ado, to convey their appreciation.
Mallam Mutaka, accompanied by fellow SBMC members from the oldest Islamiyya Primary School in Nguru Town, Nurul Aulat Al-Irshad, part of the third generation of Islamiyya schools in Nguru town, commended the joint efforts of UNICEF and the Yobe State Government.
They emphasized the positive impact on the learning outcomes of school pupils in the locality, regardless of their background or learning preferences.
The delegation also acknowledged the sacrifices, dedication to duty, and commitment shown by the Acting Education Secretary.
Tanko stated, “What we are witnessing is a kind of revolution encompassing both formal and non-formal education, including modern and Islamic teaching methods in our locality.”
“We appreciate all the authorities involved in this magnanimous feat and pray to Allah that both Yobe Government and UNICEF continue to collaborate, providing the right and conducive atmosphere for the physical and mental development of our future leaders.”
