Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has charged all 44 local government chairmen in the state to remain in their respective LGAs and overcome any challenges to effectively administer the affairs of their people.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of a workshop for LG chairmen, Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs), and secretaries at Kaduna State, Gwarzo, who also serves as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, emphasized the importance of leadership and accountability.

The workshop, organized by the Ministry for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs in collaboration with the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria  (ASCON) is themed “Leadership and Professional Ethics,” and it is designed to equip local government administrators with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to make decisions rooted in integrity for the development of their LGAs.

Gwarzo reminded participants that local governments are the backbone of democracy, and their actions, decisions, and leadership directly impact their communities, the state, and the nation.

He urged the administrators to network, share knowledge, and adopt best practices to improve governance at the grassroots.

The Deputy Governor assured participants of his commitment to supporting the growth and development of all 44 LGAs in Kano State while commending Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his steadfast dedication to human capital development, particularly at the local government level.
