The Yobe State Police Command has recovered a stolen motorcycle and apprehended a suspect in connection with the theft incident in Damaturu, the state capital.
According to the Police diary, the case was reported on February 10, 2026, at about 5:45 p.m., by one Bukar Lawan of Sabon Fegi Ward, Damaturu.
Lawan stated that he had visited a friend in the Nasarawa area of the metropolis, where he parked his ash-and-black Car-Go motorcycle in front of the friend’s residence. Upon his return, he discovered that the motorcycle had been stolen by an unknown person.
Following swift police action, a suspect identified as Auta Musa, aged 29, was arrested in connection with the case. The Police confirmed that the suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The stolen motorcycle has since been recovered and registered as an exhibit. Police authorities added that the motorcycle will be released to its rightful owner upon the completion of necessary documentation, while investigation continues in preparation for prosecution.
