Supreme Court Verdict: Mandate of Kano People Restored, Says Dr. Labaran
..Assures for Robust, Sustainable Healthcare System
The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf has described the victory of Governor Kabiru Kabir Yusuf at the Supreme Court today as restoration of mandate of the good of Kano state.
Dr. Labaran was speaking shortly after the Supreme Court upheld the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Ibrahim Abdullahi, Information Officer of the Ministry of Health disclosed in a press release issued to newsmen on Friday.
It could be recalled that there has been a fierce battle between the opposition APC and the ruling NNPC in the struggle to controlling the number one chair of which the Supreme Court today restored it to the NNPP having lost twice at the election tribunal and court of appeal consecutively.
Dr. Labaran noted with satisfaction that the unshakable attribute of His Excellency is worthy of commendation, as he continues providing exemplary leadership by laying down people oriented projects without minding the grievous challenges the situation caused the state, adding that it has also proven him as a man with heavy heart and submissive to the will of His Creator that pays positively.
The Commissioner maintained that the victory is for the people of Kano state, whose mandate was almost confiscated, buttressing that it was in turn the victory of Nigeria and the democracy as the decision of the people has been justified, which is the ideal of democratic system of government anywhere in the globe.
“I, on behalf of myself, my family, the ministry of health and all its agencies, wish to felicitate with Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, members of the State Executive Council, leadership of our great party, the NNPP, people of Kano state and the red-cap revolutionists everywhere in the world on this historic victory.
“Let me also extend same to the Grand Leader of Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for the victory. Sir, your political sagacity and servitude to people are what earned you much respect and become the victor of democracy, who overcomes all political hurdles thrown before you”, he enthusiastically averred.
Dr. Labaran assured people of the state that the transformation of health healthcare system embarked upon by His Excellency would continue so as to making it more robust and sustainable, and all other sectors for the betterment of lives of the people of the state as contained in his blueprint, thanking them for rally round the government on its superbly stylistic leadership.
Lastly, he lauded the judges for affirming the mandate of the people, urging supporters to celebration peacefully and be thankful to Allah, the Almighty.
