The So Called Ibrahamic House Suggestion In Nigeria
By Abdu Labaran Malumfashi
The arrival on our shores of the suggestion of a ‘united’ Ibrahamic House, has exposed the backwardness of Nigeria in serious matters. A case that has been discussed and abandoned in other nations about one to two years ago, is only NOW being SPONSORED in Nigeria by faces that are not hard to identify by anyone who cares to know about them.
More than one year ago, the self appointed Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, sent the so called Ibrahamic House suggestion to the Saudi Arabia Fatwa House for its approval (a subtle directive). The Saudi Fatwa House did what all sincere followers of Islam would do, it REJECTED the idea, and told the world in no uncertain terms.
For some of us who have of late not been watching the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) or listening the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) on Sundays, the Ibrahamic House suggestion calls for the ‘unity of religions’. It means Islam, Christianity and Judaism will coexist as God’s religions, with the followers of the three faiths living in agreement with one another’s religion peacefully and harmoniously, among other things.
As stated earlier, about one year ago, the suggestion was forwarded to the Saudi Arabia Fatwa House by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for its input. The Saudi Fatwa House gave the following verdict:
‘The Saudi Fatwa House has taken a clear stance against the idea of uniting religions, contrary to the request of Mohammed bin Salman, and has declared those inviting to it as committing disbelief (kufr).
‘The Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Ifta in Saudi Arabia has resolved the ongoing controversy regarding the “unity of religions” and the “Abrahamic House” by issuing the following fatwa:
‘Fatwa No. 19402 – Permanent Committee for Ifta “All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet, and upon his family, companions, and those who follow his path until the Day of Judgment. Thereafter…”
‘The Permanent Committee reviewed questions and media articles concerning the call to unite religions (Islam, Judaism, and Christianity), which includes proposals like building a mosque, church, and temple in the same location, or printing the Quran, Torah, and Bible in a single volume. After deliberation, the committee has issued the following verdict:
‘Fatwa No. 19402 1. First Point: The foundation of Islamic belief is that no religion other than Islam is true. Islam is the final religion and has abrogated all previous religions and laws. Allah says in the Quran: “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.”
2. Second Point: The Quran is the final divine book and has abrogated the Torah, Psalms, Bible, and all other scriptures.
3. Third Point: Alongside abrogation, the Torah and Bible have been distorted, as stated in various verses of the Quran.
4. Fourth Point: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last prophet, and there will be no prophet after him.
5. Fifth Point: Anyone who does not accept Islam—whether Jew, Christian, or otherwise—is a disbeliever (kafir), an enemy of Allah, and if they do not repent, they are destined for Hell.
6. Sixth Point: The call to unite religions is a deceitful and dangerous conspiracy aimed at weakening Islam and leading Muslims away from their faith.
7. Seventh Point: One consequence of this call is the erasure of the distinction between belief and disbelief, and the abandonment of the Muslim stance of disavowal toward disbelievers. This would ultimately undermine jihad and the struggle to elevate the word of Allah.
8. Eighth Point: Any Muslim who promotes this call becomes an apostate from Islam, as it contradicts the fundamental principles of the faith.
9. Ninth Point. It is not permissible for a Muslim to support this call, participate in its seminars, or spread its ideas. Publishing the Quran, Torah, and Bible in one volume or building a mosque, church, and temple in the same place is impermissible, as it undermines the superiority of Islam.

From its verdict, the Saudi Arabia Fatwa House has nailed the Ibrahamic House proposal on its head, thereby rendering ‘dead on arrival’. Though not in Nigeria.
The interest in Nigeria by those behind the effort to ‘destroy’ Islam may be informed by two, not very long ago, separate surveys by the BBC, which found that ‘Nigeria has more people who know the Holy Quran by heart in the world’, and ‘Nigeria is the most religious country in the world’
But it looks like if some people had their way, Islam would be heard of in Nigeria in a very SILENTLY, or even none at all.
For instance, the Abuja University, renamed Yakubu Gowon University (nobody has any quarrel with that) has now been turned into a Christian university, given the rate at which ALL Muslims heads of departments are replaced with Christians, since the immediate former Vice Chancellor, Professor Asma’u was replaced by Professor Patrico Manko Lar, on acting capacity by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Only very recently, the university Mrs. Roseline Adekayi was appointed the Acting Registrar, by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University, Dr. Olanrewaju Tejuoso, replacing Mrs. Islamiya Foyoke AbdulRaheem.
The five (5) principal officers operating the university now are thus, all none Muslims. They are Pro Chancellor, a Christian, Acting Vice Chancellor/Sole Administrator, a Christian, Acting Registrar, a Christain, Bursar, a Christain and Librarian, a Christain.
And sometimes ago, gigantic billboards ‘advertising’ a N50 billion land-breaking and fund-raising of St. Peter Clever Catholic Chaplaincy Project in Yakubu Gowon University Main Campus on 17th May, 2025, was put near and in some strategic locations in the FCT (Abuja).
It would appear that the Nigerian leader is hell bent to end Islam in the country, with the assistance of his ‘yes your Excellency people’, who will of course, get a handsome worldly reward. Unfortunately, ALL what is accumulated will be left behind by the deceased, whether one likes it or not.
May God make us ‘among the few’ of His servants, who always do as He commands, regardless of the hardship of the tasks.
