Tinubu’s Minister Threatens to Quit APC if Abdullahi Abbas is Re-elected as Kano Chairman

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, has declared his intention to resign from the All Progressives Congress (APC) if Abdullahi Abbas is re-elected as the party’s chairman in Kano State.

According to Premier Radio in Kano, Ata emphasized the need for responsible leadership within the APC, stressing that leaders who resort to insults have weakened the party’s public image, contributing to its defeat in the 2023 elections.

His warning comes amid growing tensions within the Kano APC, as Abdullahi Abbas faces criticism over alleged inflammatory remarks targeting the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Ata’s stance highlights the deepening rift within the party, raising concerns about internal unity ahead of future elections.
