Tubless Appointed as Vice Chairman of Kano Professional Photographers Association

The Vice Lead of the Africa Study in Nigeria and prominent development journalist Musa Sani Aliyu has congratulated Nasiru Rabi’u Tubless on his recent appointment as the Vice Chairman of the Kano State Professional Photographers Association of Nigeria (KASPPAN).

Tubless was appointed to the position on Sunday after a dissolution of the association’s executive committee. An interim executive was selected based on the competence and experience of its members, and they will serve for one year, after which their performance will determine if they continue in their roles.

In his remarks, Musa Sani Aliyu described Tubless’ appointment as a timely one, noting that the creative ecosystem in Nigeria is growing. He expressed confidence that individuals like Tubless will help the association continue to develop and thrive.

Aliyu also lauded Tubless as a talented and humble photographer, stating that he is one of the best the northern region of Nigeria has ever produced. Tubless is a professional photographer based in Kano, having worked in the industry for over a decade.

Notably, Tubless is the initiator of the annual “Arewa Talent and Makeup Show”, an event that brings together creatives from 19 states across Nigeria. This event has played a significant role in promoting and showcasing the diverse talent within the region’s creative community. Tubless is also a fellow of the integrity icon film fellowship and has worked with Maryam Abacha American Universities as an official photographer. He is the Executive Director of the Entrepreneurs Channel, which produces the Arewa Talent Show, a program dedicated to promoting talents in Northern Nigeria and beyond.
