Vaccination: Warawa LG Targets 10,000 Cattle

The Warawa Local Government Council in Kano State has targeted about 10,000 cattle for vaccination against various animal diseases in the area.

The animals are to be vaccinated against stomach diseases, cancer, liver disease and other diseases.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer of the Local Government, Salisu Kassim Yakasai, on Sunday in Kano.

Yakasai said the Head of  Natural Resources Department of the Local Government, Malam Uba Sani Kabo, disclosed this during the launching of the programme in the area.

Kabo said the cattle were expected to be vaccinated in fifteen wards in the area.

The Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Danlasan, represented by his Vice, Alhaji Ibrahim Sa’idu Warawa, said at occasion that the exercise was aimed at improving cattle rearing in the area.

Danlasan called on farmers and Fulani cattle rearers in the area to work towards the success of the exercise.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman Afcon Alhaji Alasan Yahaya Amarawa, and that of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria in the area, Malam Shehu Ali Danlasan, promised to ensure the success of the programme.
