The Managing Director/CEO of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Dr. Abubakar Shuaibu Jimeta, has reaffirmed KEDCO’s unwavering commitment to delivering efficient and reliable electricity services to its customers across its franchise states of Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa.
This assurance was given during a courtesy visit by Professor Haruna Musa, Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano (BUK), to the KEDCO Corporate Headquarters today.
In a statement issued to PRIME TIME NEWS today by Sani Bala Sani Head, Corporate Communications at KEDCO, revealed, welcoming the BUK delegation, Dr. Jimeta expressed appreciation for the longstanding relationship between the Company and the university, stating that KEDCO is currently implementing bold reforms and results-driven approaches towards efficient service delivery.
“We are committed to providing efficient services to all our customers, including key institutions like BUK. Our goal is to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply while also fostering strategic collaborations to promote innovation for a sustainable energy future”, Jimeta stated.
He emphasized that KEDCO, under its current investor, Future Energies Africa (FEA), is undergoing sustainable transformation to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and strategic partnerships that support national development.
In his remarks, Professor Haruna Musa commended KEDCO’s leadership for its efforts and expressed BUK’s appreciation for the longstanding positive relationship between the two entities.
He further extended the hands of collaboration, particularly in areas of research, training, and knowledge exchange.
“As a leading academic institution, we are keen on engaging with critical stakeholders like KEDCO. Together, we can explore innovative solutions to energy challenges while contributing to human capital development,” the Vice Chancellor noted.
The visit concluded with both parties expressing mutual interest in deepening institutional ties, enhancing service delivery, and making meaningful contributions to the region’s socio-economic development.
