Wizkid becomes first African artiste to headline UK’s biggest festival, Glastonbury
Nigerian music sensation Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, achieved a groundbreaking milestone on Friday night.
The Grammy award-winning artist became the first African musician to take center stage as the headliner at Glastonbury, the largest music festival in the United Kingdom (UK).
The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner headlined the “Other Side Stage” of the festival which was held in Somerset, England.
The festival had over 210,000 attendees.
Wizkid performed a medley of his hit songs; ‘Essence’, ‘One Dance’, ‘Ojuelegba’, ‘Soco’, ‘True Love’, etc.
Recall that last year, Burna Boy also performed at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival but not as a headliner.
