Yobe Govt Reviews Curfew in 3 Towns

Following a considerable improvement in the security situation in Potiskum, Gashua, and Nguru, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has approved a review of the curfew imposed on these three towns, reducing it by five hours.
In a press release signed by Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (Rtd), Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Buni, the curfew is now relaxed from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM, allowing residents to undertake lawful activities, effective Sunday, 4th August 2024.
Security agencies are urged to maintain the current level of alertness and ensure that no space is given to hoodlums and miscreants to perpetrate any acts of lawlessness during the curfew relaxation period.
Law-abiding citizens are requested to carry out their lawful activities between 12:00 noon and 5:00 PM, while the period between 5:00 PM and 12:00 noon remains restricted.
