In a press statement, Mamman Mohammad, Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mai Mala Buni, conveyed that the Executive Director of the association, Mohammed El-Bachir, emphasized the forum’s commitment to collaborating with Yobe State to attract investors and marketers for both direct and indirect investments.

He further explained that the collaboration includes opportunities for financing agriculture, environmental initiatives, climate programs, and housing projects across local government areas.

Leading the delegation, the Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Baba Malam Wali, highlighted the state’s intention to leverage the trade fair to promote its agricultural products.

“We have high-quality, graded sesame seeds, Gum Arabic, beans, groundnuts, and livestock in commercial quantities across all local government areas,” Wali stated.

He added that Governor Buni has directed officials to engage with reputable agencies and organizations to create employment and wealth-generation opportunities for the youth.

“The state government is ready to partner with the association to involve our youth in agricultural production, particularly in sesame seed farming and related sectors,” Wali affirmed.

The Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Mustapha Goniri, underscored Yobe State’s reputation for producing and processing high-quality sesame seeds that meet international standards.
