YOSPIS activities motivated us to establish PHAFPID – Health Students

The Students of Tropical College of Health Science and Technology Department of Public Health said, Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and social vices (YOSPIS) has boosted their morale by establishing the Public Health Association for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases (PHAFPID).
Speaking During an Advocacy visit by the students to YOSPIS office, the Acting Chairman of PHAFPID, Ibrahim Yusuf Muhammad explained that, Sanitation and Hygiene are crucial for everyone in order to maintain health status and extend of life span.
“However, PHAFPID’s major focus will be on the prevention of infectious diseases, promoting good hygiene in our environment, ensuring optimal use of clean water and also tasking communities to adopt sustainable sanitation practices.
“We are also enthusiastic about humanitarian services after monitoring YOSPIS activities in Kano on youth engagement”
“Establishing PHAFPID has gained support from many like-minded organizations so far, even with the challenges encountered but yet the motivation from YOSPIS Executive Director, Zainab Nasir Ahmad made us keep pushing to the peak” stated Yusuf.
In her remarks, The Executive Director of YOSPIS, Zainab Nasir Ahmad disclosed her organization will support the students to achieve their aims and objectives towards humanitarian services in the state.
