Young Journalists Forum Calls for Improved Journalism Standards in Kano

…Receives Encouragement from Alhaji Abba Dabo as Group Visits Radio Premier

Musa Zangina Adam, Chairman of the newly established Kano Youth Journalists Forum, has emphasized the urgent need to improve journalism standards among young journalists in Kano State.

During a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Premier Radio, Alhaji Abba Dabo, on Tuesday, Adam stressed the importance of tapping into the experience of seasoned journalists like Dabo to strengthen the forum’s blueprint and uplift the profession within the state.

Zangina extended an open invitation to all young journalists practicing in Kano, stating that they are automatically considered members of the forum and encouraged to contribute their expertise towards restructuring journalism in the state.

Adam further called upon the federal government to provide support for young journalists through capacity-building programs, acknowledging the critical role they play in amplifying government activities in the digital age.

In his remarks, Alhaji Dabo expressed his pleasure with the KYJF’s establishment and its noble goals. He encouraged members to remain dedicated and strive towards achieving their objectives.

He also underscored the importance of upholding truth and integrity in all journalistic endeavors.

Other dignitaries present at the meeting encouraged the KYJF to identify topics relevant to the community and consider broadcasting them through various radio stations across Kano State.
