Youths celebrate Seyi Tinubu at 40, commend focus beyond father’s influence

Northern youths under the banner of Youth Alliance for Development have held a special prayer and dinner in Kano to celebrate Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he marked his 40th birthday.

Speaking at the event, the convener, Seyi Olorunsola, said the gathering was organised to honour Seyi Tinubu for his contributions to youth development and humanitarian work across the country.

“We decided to organise this prayer and celebration not because of anything else, but to appreciate Seyi Tinubu for what he has been doing for the people and for the youth from all parts of Nigeria,” Olorunsola said.

He described Seyi Tinubu as a role model to many young Nigerians, noting that his humility and consistency in supporting youths have remained outstanding.

“This is a young man who has not allowed his father’s influence to distract him. He has been supporting and empowering youths even before his father became president. His record is there for everyone to see,” he added.

Olorunsola explained that the dinner, which holds at the Hilton Palace Hotel in Kano on Saturday, was chosen to reflect the unity and strength of the North.

“It is a Northern event, and we chose Kano because it is the biggest state in the North and a centre that represents the region well,” he said.

Also speaking, Saminu Khalil Abdullahi, Sarkin Yakin Matasan Arewa, said Seyi Tinubu has made significant efforts in supporting young people, particularly in Kano State.

“He has helped a lot of people, especially here in Kano. That’s why we thought it was important to pray for him. We know Seyi has good intentions for the development of youths,” Abdullahi said.

“He has given opportunities and appointments to more than 50 young people, and we pray for more people like him in Nigeria.”

In his sermon, Sheikh Abdulateef Oyebamiji Emiabata, the Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Society, Kano branch, offered prayers for Seyi Tinubu’s continued success and divine guidance.

“We prayed to Almighty Allah to guide him, bless him, and give him success in all his endeavours,” the cleric said.
