Zamfara APC Crisis: Jaji faction inaugurates State Acting Chairman, Secretary

From Ibrahim Kaulahi, Gusau

The APC faction of a Member House of Representatives representing Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji federal constituency, hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, has inaugurated new party Chairman and Secretary to lead the party.

The new Acting principal officers to continue to drive the APC in the state towards the forthcoming congresses included former Vice Chairman, Alhaji Isiyaka Ajiya Anka, now as ag. Chairman while former Assistant Secretary, Mansur Halifa Kaura emerged as Acting Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Acting Chairman, Ajiya Anka, said the development followed the suspension of the state Chairman, Tukur Danfulani-Maikatako and the state Secretary, Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima by their wards executives.

Ajiya positioned that, the APC being strongest party in Nigeria and number one opposition party in the state, could not be allowed to continue running without leadership.

“As you are aware, my emergence as the Ag. state Chairman APC followed the suspension of the former Chairman of the party, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, the secretary of the party, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima B/Magaji and other members who was suspended by their wards due to internal conflicts and over bearing attitudes within the party.

“It is a well-known fact that the suspended Chairman of the party and his group divided the party into different political leaning and denied other state Executive members of the party right from the state to lower levels from participating in the party’s activities, thereby becoming subversive working against the party’s interest, unity and development in the state.

“It is in view of this, that we called this stakeholders’ meeting in order to discuss issues for the Unity and overall development of our great party in the state, as well as provide avenue for solving the problems and challenges currently facing the party in the state.

“We therefore want to call on the security agencies and the national Headquarters of our party to prevent these individuals from parading themselves as the leaders of the party henceforth”, the Acting Chairman has pleaded.

It would be recalled, the party leadership had swung into a trade of suspension a couple of months ago when party stakeholders were suspended under factionalism that bedeviled the party across the state.
