Zamfara Commissioner of Police presents N7m to families of Officers died in service

The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Bunu has presented the cheques of seven million one hundred thousand naira to the14 next of kins of the officers who died in active service.
The cheques issued which were presented to the families of the dead officers were part of the Group personal Accident and IGP family welfare insurance schemes of the Force.
The Commissioner while presenting the cheques, appreciated the Ag IGP for his kind gesture and also appealed to the families of the deceased officers to make good use of the money and take care of their families.
Two of the beneficiaries, Ms Mosunmola Apata and Mr Ayuba Bassi in their remarks on behalf of other beneficiaries, thanked the Acting inspector general of Police and the state police Command for the support and also assured the Command judicious use of the money.
It would be recalled Police men and Officers under the Zamfara State Police Command have been killed by the armed bandits across various locations in the State while discharging their primary assignments.
