Zamfara NSCDC arrest 22 notorious criminal

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara State Command, Commandant Sani Mustapha has paraded 27 suspects with various offences ranging from BGT ( Belonging to Gang of Thieves ) and involvement in the illicit trade on Granular  Ammonium  Sulphate GAS and Muriate of Potash MOP in Gusau metro.

Parading the Suspects at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters Gusau, Commandant Sani Mustapha, said 22 male suspects with dangerous hair styles who belong to some criminal gangs that specializes in phone snatching and other criminal activities were arrested by the operatives of the Corps during routine patrol in Gusau metro especially Tudun Wada Area and other dangerous areas earmarked as black spots in Gusau.

The Commandant, said that these suspects were arrested with dangerous weapons such as knives and Cables meant for strangling their victims.

While three girls within the age bracket of 20yrs were arrested at about 23:30 hours for late night with substances suspected to be intoxicants along Top Town Hotels bye pass Gusau, the Commandant assured the  public of the readiness to prosecute the miscreants.

He said that one of the suspects was also arrested with military uniform in his possession which he uses for the harassment of his victims, adding that, about 108 unauthorized fertilizer inputs meant for industrial blending of fertilizers were impounded from some illicit dealers of the products in Gusau Zamfara State capital.

The Commandant further noted that Granular Ammonium Sulphate and Muriate of Potash were among the prohibited fertilizer inputs to be sold to the general public unless for industrial blending. He therefore said that all the culprits in this illicit trade will be  charged to Court for prosecutions.

The Commandant has however warned the miscreants and hoodlums to stay away from the state as the Corps in collaboration with other sister agencies is poised to purge the State of all manner of criminal activities.

He however advised the general public to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement and or any questionable characters to security agencies in the state for prompt action.
