Zamfara NSCDC urges group to report vandals’ activities

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command, Commandant Sani Mustapha has urged a group of artisans and craftsmen to avail the Corps with credible information on the activities of vandals in the state.
Commandant Mustapha made the plea today (Wednesday) when he hosted the Artisan and Craftsmen Empowerment Association in Zamfara State at the State Command headquarters Gusau the state capital.
The State NSCDC Boss asserted that the group is cardinal in youth empowerment and resourceful in engagement of young minds in productive ventures in the state thereby reducing the rate of youth involvement in crimes.
He therefore charged the group to be good ambassadors of the society by reporting any suspected criminal activities by any unscrupulous element in the society to relevant authorities.
The Commandant further assured the group of the readiness of the Corps to support the trade union in all legitimate endeavors for the development of the state and nation at large.
Meanwhile, the Trade Union Chairman, Mr Tukur Rabiu Abdullahi who spoke through the Publicity Secretary, extolled the Corps, saying that, the union having recognized the oversight functions of the Corps which includes monitoring of Trade Unions, has decided to come and felicitate with the State Commandant.
The Chairman has however seek for support of the Corps in their lawful activities, pledging to make all the members of the Union to be law abiding and to provide any security information at their disposal to the Corps to help in curbing the rising wave of insecurity in the state.
