ZSUBEB Keyed Into Synergy With CSO’s To Revive Education in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB) has keyed into collaboration with the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) to ensure recovery of lost glory in education sector in the state.

This was declared by the Executive Chairman of ZSUBEB, Professor Nasir Garba Anka while receiving Civil Society Organizations for Safe school Technical Team in the state that paid him a courtesy visit in his office, Gusau.

The Chairman, said “Education for All, is the responsibility of all”, noting that everyone has a vital role to play including Civil Society Organizations with a view to guarantee brighter future for the young generations.

“Your visitation is timely, because this administration under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal has given education a number one priority, this is apart from security which prompted the state government to declare a State òf Emergency on Education recently.

Prof Anka maintained that, “My board will continue to collaborate with you for the success of Basic Education in the state, and assured to give all necessary support to enable you discharge your responsibilities effectively.

Earlier, the Chairperson of coalition, Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdu Gusau who was represented by her deputy, Dr. Ahmad Hashim, said they were at ZSUBEB’s Chairman office for familiarization as partners and stakeholders in education in the state and Nigeria at large.

Dr Hashim added that Civil Society Organizations are partners in progress, stating that they are not against any progress of the government , but rather, to find out issues with a view to addressing them by relevant agencies for necessary actions.

He explained that, the coalition had conducted a thorough investigation and assessment from the previous administration on issues regarding to closure of schools following challenges conceived by insecurity, a report has been compiled for the consumption of the present government for necessary action.

He explained that hopefully, the current administration in the state will take action to address the menace of insecurity for education to revive and prosper in the state.

Dr Hashim has also congratulated Prof. Nasir Garba Anka for his appointment as the Executive Chairman of the board, describing him as one with excellent record in Education, advising him to do everything humanly possible to move the Basic Education to the next level.
