Hajj 2027:Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Plans Medical Screening At Local Government Level

Tha Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board says it will introduce an outreach medical screening programme at the Local Government level for pilgrims of the 2027 Hajj.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman A.Dederi, said the Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, announced the decision.
Dederi said the Director-General disclosed the initiative during a one-hour programme, Fitila, aired on Radio Kano, on Monday.
He said the initiative is aimed at making medical screening easier and more accessible to intending pilgrims, particularly those living in rural areas of the state.
Matawale also hinted that the Board would introduce additional new arrangements once all intending pilgrims had been uploaded to the server.
He, therefore,called on the intending pilgrims who have not yet submitted their international passports to do so before the end of August 2026.
He warned that there would be no extension of the deadline for the submission and uploading of international passports to the server.
The Director-General,therefore,urged all intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their passports to do so within the stipulated period.
He expressed appreciation for the contributions and support of the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Kabir Yusuf, towards the welfare of pilgrims in the state.
