Adamawa: NDE Launches Resettlement for 33,692 Under Renewed Hope Initiative

The Federal Government has launched the resettlement phase of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) training program under the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Adamawa State.
NDE Director-General, His Excellency Silas Agara, represented by the Director of Procurement, Mallam Ibrahim Abani, revealed that 33,692 unemployed youths, women, and persons with disabilities have been trained in various vocational skills.
He stated that the beneficiaries received training in entrepreneurship, business management, agricultural skills, and public works across the 36 states and the FCT. He further announced that 5,532 beneficiaries nationwide would receive loans and starter packs to establish their own businesses.
“This initiative focuses on three pillars: skills development, resettlement, and job creation. It was launched on December 6, 2024, with training commencing on December 9, 2024,” Agara noted.
NDE Acting State Coordinator in Adamawa, Mallam Nuhu Bello, disclosed that 1,889 individuals were trained in the state, with 389 set to receive resettlement support. He urged beneficiaries to apply their acquired skills to benefit their communities.
Bello emphasized that the program aims to promote self-reliance and job creation among youths and women, commending master trainers for their role in its success.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Miss Helen Jonah expressed gratitude to the NDE and the Renewed Hope Initiative, pledging that beneficiaries would utilize their starter packs and funds responsibly.
