AIT Boss Applauds Gov. Idris’ Infrastructure, Agriculture, Tourism Strides, Pledges Wider Media Coverage

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of DAAR Communications,
Chief Marcel Anyalechi, has commended the massive infrastructure renewal across Kebbi State achieved by the administration of Governor Nasir Idris.
Anyalechi also noted the administration’s commitment to agricultural development, and the state’s enormous tourism potential.

Sarki quoted the DAAR Communications Boss as citing the successful hosting of the Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival as a clear evidence of Kebbi’s growing appeal as a tourism destination.
He added that the state possesses vast agricultural resources capable of supporting strategic partnerships and attracting greater investment.
According to the statement,Anyalechi made the remarks during a courtesy visit paid by the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, alongside media aides to the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, to the Managing Director/Chief Executive at the company’s headquarters in Abuja, recently.
It said the visit was aimed at strengthening media partnership and showcasing the development achievements of the Kebbi State Government.
Chief Anyalechi,who warmly received the delegation on behalf of the Board and Management of DAAR Communications, described the visit as the beginning of a renewed and stronger relationship between the media organisation and Kebbi State.
He said the transformation taking place in the state under Governor Nasir Idris was evident, noting that he had watched documentaries and reports highlighting remarkable improvements in infrastructure and governance, which he said, had completely changed his perception of Kebbi State.
“I watched some documentaries about the state, and I found myself asking, ‘Is this the Kebbi State we used to know?’ The government has done remarkably well. It is truly transforming the state.
“During the last Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, I had the opportunity to watch the coverage on AIT, and I could clearly see that a lot has changed under Kauran Gwandu,” he said.
Chief Anyalechi pledged that AIT and other DAAR media platforms would continue to support efforts aimed at projecting Kebbi’s achievements to national and international audiences.
He proposed dedicated news coverage, documentaries, special reports, and live broadcasts of major government programmes, noting that effective publicity would ensure that the achievements of Governor Nasir Idris receive the visibility they deserve.
He also reaffirmed the organisation’s readiness to partner with the state in promoting security awareness and responsible journalism in the national interest.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, expressed appreciation to DAAR Communications for its longstanding support for Kebbi State, describing AIT’s correspondent in the state as one of the most active and professional journalists.
He explained that the delegation was on an advocacy tour of selected media organisations in Abuja and Lagos to appreciate their support and explore new areas of collaboration for mutually beneficial partnerships.
The Commissioner highlighted the numerous achievements recorded by Governor Nasir Idris over the past three years, particularly in road construction, urban renewal, education, healthcare, agriculture, and security.
He said Kebbi had witnessed unprecedented infrastructure transformation, including the construction of modern roads, installation of solar-powered streetlights, rehabilitation of hospitals, recruitment of qualified teachers, improved welfare for medical personnel, and sustained support for farmers through the provision of free fertiliser and other agricultural inputs.
According to him, these interventions have significantly boosted food production and economic activities across the state.
Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed also called on media organisations to support the fight against misinformation and disinformation capable of undermining peace and development.
He urged journalists to verify sensitive reports before publication and appealed for greater collaboration in showcasing the positive transformation taking place in Kebbi State.
He stressed that sustained partnership between government and responsible media organisations remains essential to promoting national unity, security, and development.
