Allegations Against Kano Transport Commissioner Politically Motivated – Kwankwasiyya Group

A coalition of Kwankwasiyya activists in Kano has condemned recent allegations leveled against the state’s Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala, describing them as politically motivated attempts to force him out of public service and tarnish his reputation.

In an emergency statement issued on Saturday, the group alleged that Namadi is being targeted by political enemies determined to damage his image by all means. According to the statement, the recent accusations surrounding his alleged involvement in securing bail for one Danwawu are baseless and aimed at blackmail.

The group called on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to thoroughly investigate the claims before taking any action, warning against decisions based on speculation and unverified reports.

“Hon. Namadi is one of the most committed commissioners in the current administration, working tirelessly to uphold the ideals of the Kwankwasiyya movement and provide support to loyal party members,” the statement read.

They further claimed that Namadi’s humble and accessible nature has made him a target for those uncomfortable with his rising political profile. “Some individuals believe that by defaming him, they can weaken the Kwankwasiyya structure,” they added.

The embattled commissioner had earlier denied any involvement in receiving money to secure the bail of Danwawu, clarifying that although he was approached by some individuals requesting assistance, he has no personal or political ties with the said individual.
