The All Progressives Congress (APC) Electoral Committee for the Plateau State primaries has officially declared winners of the party’s House of Representatives and Senatorial primaries, describing the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and credible.
Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Stella Okotete, announced the results after the conclusion of the exercise, stating that the primaries were conducted in strict compliance with the party’s guidelines and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to the committee, the following candidates emerged victorious in the House of Representatives primaries.
The Representatives are, Beni Lar, Langtang North/Langtang South Federal Constituency,
Joe Dashe, Shendam/Qua’an Pan/Mikang,
Dachung Musa Bagos, Jos South/Jos East,
Abubakar Sadiq Shaibu Jos North/Bassa
Ishaya Lalu, Mangu/Bokkos.
Others are Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam, Idris Wase, Wase and Gyang Dalyop Fom, Barkin Ladi/Riyom.
The committee also confirmed the emergence of the APC Senatorial candidates for Plateau State.
Those declared winners include Simon Bako Lalong for Plateau South Senatorial District, David Barji for Plateau Central Senatorial District, and Simon Mwadkon for Plateau North Senatorial District.
Speaking after the announcement, Okotete commended party members and stakeholders for their conduct throughout the exercise.
“I am delighted to report that the exercise was peaceful, transparent, credible, and conducted in strict compliance with the guidelines of our great party,” she said.
She also praised aspirants, delegates, and supporters for demonstrating maturity and discipline, noting that “the APC remains the ultimate winner of this exercise.”
The committee further appreciated the Governor of Plateau State, the APC State Working Committee, and the National Working Committee of the party for their support and cooperation during the primaries.
Okotete urged party members to remain united ahead of the general elections.
“The primaries are over; the greater task of victory at the general elections now lies ahead. The APC is strongest when we stand together with one vision and one purpose,” she added.
