APC E-Registration: Party Projects Over 9 Million Members Within Two Weeks — Basiru

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says the party’s ongoing digital membership registration exercise is on course to exceed nine million registered members within two weeks.

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday on behalf of the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the party’s National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, disclosed that more than two million Nigerians had already completed their registration within the first week of the exercise.

Basiru stressed the importance of credible and accurate data in strengthening the party’s operations and planning.

“We are pleased to inform Nigerians that just one week into the exercise, over two million people have successfully registered as members of the APC,” he said.

He added that the party expects the figure to rise sharply in the coming days.

“By the time we carry out another assessment next week, we are confident of having between eight and nine million registered members,” Basiru stated.

The APC National Secretary also warned that states lagging behind in the registration process may face leadership changes, noting that the NWC has been empowered to replace coordinators in underperforming states to ensure the success of the exercise.
