APC N/East Nat’l Vice Chair Empowers 5,000 at Birthday Celebration in Adamawa

No fewer than 5,000 people have benefited from cash donations and empowerment packages provided by the North East Zonal Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Mustapha Salihu, during his birthday celebration in Yola, Adamawa State.

Comrade Salihu, visibly elated at the event held on Tuesday, expressed gratitude to his supporters and reiterated his commitment to serving the people of his state, zone, and the country at large. As part of his birthday initiative, he announced scholarships for 2,000 students and financial empowerment for an additional 3,000 individuals.

“As a way of giving back to society, I have decided to provide scholarship support to 2,000 students and empower another 3,000 with cash donations,” Salihu stated.

In addition, the APC leader announced scholarships for another 250 students across the state, emphasizing that this marked the third edition of his empowerment program. He pledged to continue supporting his people and making a positive impact.

The program also extended support to patients receiving medical care at several hospitals, including Fofure Cottage Hospital, Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital, Girei Cottage Hospital, and Yola Specialist Hospital. The event served as a platform to distribute cash donations to women, youths, and physically challenged individuals across Fofure, Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Local Government Areas.

Speaking at the elaborate occasion, the State Organizing Secretary of APC, Comrade Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, praised the celebrant for his unwavering commitment to humanity and education. “He does this not for recognition but for the sake of God and the betterment of society,” Ribadu said.

Ribadu highlighted Salihu’s contributions to educational institutions, including Adamawa Polytechnic, Federal College of Education, and Federal Polytechnic Mubi. He lauded Salihu’s consistent efforts in supporting students and fostering education in the region.

Former Speaker of the Adamawa State Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa, commended Salihu for his long-standing support for widows, orphans, and physically challenged persons through the provision of food items and other essentials.

The birthday colloquium was attended by prominent political figures, including the Adamawa State APC Chairman, Barr. Idris Shuaibu, members of the State House of Assembly, and various women and youth groups.

Most of the attendees hailed Salihu’s interventions as a testament to his role as a trailblazer in Adamawa politics and a shining star for Nigeria’s future.
